I remember my first ‘Experimentierkasten’ by KOSMOS I had in the 90s. It was a big box containing different educational toys centered around detective work. Over 20 years later, new entries in the Experimentierkasten series are still being created, many of which are hybrid toys like Monster Maker. This particular one was created back in 2018 by Daedalic Bavaria and is all about how environmental factors affect the evolution of animal species. It comes with sensors for measuring brightness, temperature, and more that are then fed into the mobile app, changing the collected monsters’ appearance. The box is available on the KOSMOS store, Amazon, and toy stores across Germany.
